Our Story

It all started when my wife fell in love with some farmhouse table she found online. You know the one, 100 year old reclaimed wood, hand crafted, and way, way out of our price range.  She really wanted this table and as I have always been pretty handy, she kept asking me to try and make one for us. 

After months of putting it off and making excuses, I finally decided to take the plunge and headed out to the garage to get started making the table of my wife’s dreams.  No pressure…

Now when I say got started, I mean I stared at the pile of wood for a couple of hours and prayed for a miracle!  I found some DIY instructions that seemed easy enough to follow, and I finally started putting the boards together.  Finally, our beautiful farmhouse table was complete and ready to live in its new home in our dining room.  My wife and I stood back to admire this labor of love, and you know the saying: “measure twice, cut once”?  The table was too big! 

After crying a bit on the inside, I decided to take a picture of it and post it on Craigslist.  Within an hour of posting, the table was sold, and the business was born!

We have come a long way since that first table and the DIY instructions! Our products and my woodworking skills have both gone through major transformations. I have learned more about wood itself as a material, and have mastered the tools and trade. I am still learning new techniques and hope to never stop growing and improving my skill. 

We have always warrantied all of our furniture and taken great care to make sure all our customers are completely satisfied. This is, I believe, one of the reasons we have so many repeat customers and referrals. Thanks to our wonderful customers, we are living the American Dream of owning our own small business!
